An unprecedented musical phenomenon: Dr. Kanniks Kannikeswaran's masterpiece, a magnificent orchestral fusion featuring The Heartland Symphony Orchestra. A breathtaking sonic journey celebrating the vibrant spirit, love, and divine joy of Krishna — seamlessly blending the rich patterns of Indian classical music with the majestic depth of a western symphony. A historic, cross-cultural experience right here in Illinois.

The stage transforms into a realm of divine movement, rhythm, and storytelling. Presented by Kaladhara under the visionary guidance of Dr. Divyasena — with Program Director Prasanna Jeer collaborating with Dr. Divyasena — this production brings the timeless legends, wisdom, and cosmic energy of Lord Ganesha to life through powerful choreography, exquisite expressions, and intricate footwork by world-class dancers.

Founding Chairman, Hindu Temple of Central Illinois
Srishti is offered as a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Nagaprakash Babu, the founding chairman of the Hindu Temple of Central Illinois, who passed away recently at the age of 77. This festival celebrates his extraordinary life and the enduring spiritual home he built for our community.
Dr. Babu lived a life of profound devotion, marked by 32 years of unwavering stewardship. His journey began with four foundational years of vision, land acquisition, and relentless fundraising, followed by 28 years of active management. Driven by a lifelong passion, he retired early at age 55 as Director of Worldwide Quality and Reliability at Caterpillar Inc., choosing to invest his time, exceptional skills, and personal resources entirely in the temple. His commitment was absolute — a rare and selfless labor of love that endured until his final days.
The sanctuary he envisioned continues to serve thousands as a vibrant center for worship, culture, learning, and belonging. Srishti dedicates both evenings to honoring his remarkable legacy. All proceeds from this event will directly support the Hindu Temple of Central Illinois, ensuring that the institution to which he gave his life continues to flourish for generations to come.
