  As in the past, we will make only 50 clay Ganeshas and they will be made to order. Please sign up at the Temple or respond to this email. The payment of $51 should be made at the time of order (with one of the Priests or through the website). Only Temple made Ganeshas can be allowed for the Poojas and Ratha Yatra.

  Three Day Ganesha Festival Sept 10, 11 & 12

  A limited number of clay Ganeshas (approximately 20) are available. Please reserve one today (see online registration link below).

  Ganesh Chathurthi Pooja Volunteers needed:

  We will have 3 days of poojas to observe Ganesh festival.  Many volunteers can help with the Naivedyas (Sweet Pongal), Ghee for Homa as well as Modakas – Modakas for Homa (1008), Large Modakas for garlands (maybe about 150 to 200) and Modakas for Prasad for devotees.

  The three day program can be sponsored for $101 or Friday, Saturday or Sunday program can be sponsored for $51. Devotees can also sponsor 5 lb clay Ganesha for $51. They may take clay Ganesha  home, decorate and pray to before they bring them to the Temple on Sunday for the final pooja, Rathotsava and visarjan. You can also opt to have the clay Ganeshas decorated by volunteers and have it be part of the poojas conducted at the Temple. Only Temple sourced clay Ganeshas are accepted for Temple poojas, Rathotsava and visarjan.

  Five foot high (sitting) Ganesha made of plaster will come out of hibernation and take center stage during the festival.

  12:30 PM: to 4 PM: Lunch

  "Samuhik Savantsari Pratikram" will be performed at the temple on September 11, 2010 at 4 PM

  4 PM to 5:30 PM: Shodashopachara Pooja, Gana Homam and Navagraha Homam

  5:30 PM to 6:30 PM: Bhoomi Pooja for “Temple Hill Road”

  6:30 PM: Cultural Program includes Vision 2020 unveiling

  7:30 PM to 9 PM: Special Dinner

  9PM: Fireworks for children
