HOW TO GET TO TEMPLE:

PLEASE  Look for TEMPLE HILL ROAD yard sign near 809 N. Kickapoo Creek Road (1000 feet south from Farmington Road/Creek Road intersection).

Those that take I474 to come to the Temple from Peoria, please take Airport Road exit (one exit after Farmington Road). Those coming from Morton/ Bloomington on I474, you would take Airport Road (the one before Farmington Road: the Temple is now a little bit closer!!). At airport Road exit, turn right on S.Airport Road which becomes Harman Highway.  Past Harman Highway traffic light intersection, turn left on Kickapoo Creek Road at three way stop sign. Over a mile down the road, you will find a sign to turn on to Temple Hill Road before you get to Farmington Road intersection.

Those coming on Farmington Road from Maxwell Road, you would skip Hill Top Road and turn right on Kickapoo Creek Road. Those coming from Sterling Ave on Farmington Road, you would turn left on Kickapoo Creek Road. Those coming on Kickapoo Creek Road through Pottstown bridge, you would stay on Creek Road and cut across Farmington Road intersection.

TEMPLE'S FOOD PRORAM REVAMPED (Again!)

Our Temple has seen declining devotee attendance in the recent years coincident with Peoria's cyclical economy. Many of our ardent volunteers have moved on to other places. Bradley graduate student population from India has decreased dramatically. We have tried to flex Temple operations accordingly. One area that has had much difficulty to manage is Temple's weekend food program. Our hallmark Annadhata program has fallen well below the critical volume required to sustain itself. Last year, we moved to box lunches only to find out that our visiting devotees were looking for hot lunches. We resumed hot lunches this year only to find out that simple, repeated menus (required for sustainability) were not popular at the $7 per plate price.

Effective this coming weekend, we will move to a healthy home cooked meal approach and serve it at a very affordable $5 per plate - Roti, sabji, rice and dhal  prepared with devotion and served with love. We think this menu and price will rejuvenate this program so devotees can connect with fellow devotees over a shared meal.
